Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title nonwoven fabric having excellent adsorbability, filtering characteristics, excellent strength, neither elongating nor breaking, having no sewed part by transporting a fibrous material with a fluid and treating by a specific method. CONSTITUTION:First, a fibrous material 4 is transported with a fluid and a web 8 made into electret is formed while collecting the fibrous material on a first rotator 6 in a DC electric field. Then, the web 8 is transferred from the first rotator 6 to a second rotator 9 and formed into a cylindrical material 10 on the second rotator 9. Finally, the formed cylindrical material 10 is taken out in the axial direction of the second rotator 9 to give the objective nonwoven fabric 12 having >=1X10 Coulomb/cm surface charge density. The DC electric field is preferably produced between an impressed electrode 5 and the earthed first rotator 6 by using a DC high-voltage generator 7. The first rotator is preferably composed of a porous material through which a fluid is passed and the second rotator has preferably the surface having low frictional resistance such as aventurine surface.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain cylindrical nonwoven fabric neither elongating nor breaking during production by making a web formed from a fibrous material transported by a fluid into a cylindrical state on a rotator and taking-off the cylindrical material in the direction of revolving shaft. CONSTITUTION:Melt blow fibers 2 are collected on a first rotator 3 to form a web 4, transferred to a second rotator 6 and formed into a cylindrical material 7. The cylindrical material is drawn out in the shaft direction of the second rotator and the cylindrical nonwoven fabric 9 is taken-off by a take-up roller 10. Diameter and density of the cylindrical nonwoven fabric can be freely changed and cylindrical nonwoven fabric with heavy weight can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive the prevention of the generation of spark discharge and the improvement of the efficiency of a sheet formed into a coated electret by a method wherein the sheet formed into an electret is introduced from an electric field of a low field strength in an electric field of a high field strength. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 1 formed into an electret is moved along the outer periphery surface of an earth electrode 3 which is rotated, electrodes 4a, 4b,... and a corona electret field which is formed by a plurality of electrodes are made to pass through in order to perform a work of the electric. At this time, the applying electrodes 4a and 4e are arranged in such a way that the distance between an applying voltage and the electrode 3 becomes narrower as the distance goes from the electrode 4a toward the electrode 4e. Accordingly, a constant voltage is applied by a DC high-voltage power supply 5 and the side of the field strength of the sheet 1 becomes stronger by the electrode 4b and after electrodes, which act on the sheet 1 after the first electrode 4a to act on the sheet 1, then the field strength which is made strong by the first electrode 4a. Thereby, the sheet 1 having the good efficiency of the electret can be manufactured without the generation of speak discharge.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a non-woven fabric having excellent stability of electric charge for a long period of time by a method wherein a non-contact high-tension application treatment is conducted using the collection surface of a melt-blow non-woven fabric, which will be collected, as an earth electrode. CONSTITUTION:A melt-blow non-woven fabric 7 is formed by a melt-blow fiber 6 sent from a melt-blow mouth piece 1 through the intermediary of a collection drum 2. The collection surface of the drum 2 is formed into an earth electrode by an earth 3, and it becomes an electlet melt-blow non-woven fabric having a deep electric charge by a high-tension application treatment with which a compensating charge can be injected easily by a non-contact application electrode 4 and also having a large quantity of charge and uniform direction of polarization orientation. As a result, an electlet melt-blow non-woven fabric, which can be used effectively on a high characteristic filter, adsorption material and the like which have charge stability for a long period of time, can be manufactured. Besides, the same result can be obtained when a transfer surface is used instead of the collection surface.
