    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a grinding machine which is easily adjusted and keeps the produced eyeglass lenses from being distorted. CONSTITUTION: This grinding machine 11 for grinding eyeglass lenses has at least one grinding wheel 12 rotatably monted on a chassis. A carriage 14 is pivoted to the chassis to pivot about an axis parallel to the rotation axis of the grinding wheel 12. A support spindle 15 is rotatably mounted on the carriage 14 to rotate about an axis parallel to the rotation axis of the grinding wheel 12 and which is adapted to receive axially lenses 10 to be ground and a template 16. A feeler 17 in vertical alignment with the template is mounted on the chassis so that it is movable transversely relative to the pivot axis of the carriage. The feeler 17 comprises a rigid pad 23 and a tactile sensor 24 appropriately attached to the rigid pad 23 at the surface thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To use a contour tracking device regardless of whether an article to be read for contour is the rim or template of a spectacle frame by rotating the rotatable contact head of a feeler by means of a driving means. CONSTITUTION: The contact head 19 of a feeler 18 is brought into contact with an article to be read for contour supported by a holding means 16 mounted on a supporting table 14 by moving a reciprocating table 20 supporting the head 19 by means of a motor gear box unit 26. The feeler 18 is driven and, therefore, the unit 26 which drives the head 19 is started. The head 19 follows the contour of the article to be read for contour with a contact pressure adjusted by a torque limiter 52. A sensor 36 reads the angular position of a supporting body 21 and also the linear position of the table 20 along a guide 39. Therefore, the polar coordinates of the feeler 18 are always recognized. The pressure of the head 19 applied to the article is adjusted by the limiter 52 incorporated in the driving system of the table 20.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To remove only a handling block from the receptacle of a device, while holding a projecting means pressed by a spring by the rise of a device, to prevent an eyeglass lens from accompanying the block by push-fitting the handling block pressed against the lens into the receptacle, and pressing a projecting means provided at the device against the lens. CONSTITUTION: The arm 16 of a device 15 is vertically movable and provided with a receptacle 18, into which the end piece 14 of a handling block 12 is push-fitted. A projecting means 24 is provided outside of the receptacle 18, its projecting fingers 25 being energized by a spring in an extending direction. When the arm 16 is moved downward, first an eyeglass lens 10 on a plate 11 is pressed by the projecting fingers 25 and is energized by the spring and then the handling block 12 is pressed against the lens 10 and attracted thereto. When the arm 16 is raised, the fingers 25 are held pressed against the lens 10 by the spring action and the block 12 is disengaged from the receptacle 18 while the lens 10 with the block 12 held attracted thereto does not accompany the block 12.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to tightly fix the frame of glasses during the period of sports activity by forming two edge parts having curves one of which is projected out from the other on an end part of a chord of the glasses frame on both the sides of a rotational axis line. The end part 13 is rotatably fitted to the main part 12 on the opposite side of a hinge member. The end part 13 is provided with two reversed edge parts 17, 18 on both the sides of rotational axis line formed by the one end part of a core 15. When a user is going to execute sports activity, the glasses can be prepared only by rotating respective end parts by 180 deg.. Thus each chord of the frame forms a hook capable of depressing the lower part of an ear bending as a nipple-like shape.

CONSTITUTION: A semi-processed blank 10 is supported at its periphery on a lower mold shell member 13I mounted in a ring 14, a central area of an upper mold shell member 13S is disposed on the blank 10, and an entirety is placed in an oven 18. Thus, a molding force applied to the blank 10 on the way of molding is limited to a static load generated only by a weight of the member 13S. As a substitute example, a weight of a pre-load mass 19 placed on the member 13S is added to the weight of the member 13S. The force received by the blank 10 is, in all cases, an intermediate value of 1.5 kg or less. The oven 18 is independently regulated in six regions, and regulated to a value exceeding a glass transition temperature of a synthetic resin molded from the blank 10 at least one point.

This skid 29 is provided on the frame 28 so as to move almost perpendicular to a shaft line of the mounting member 27. Further, this pattern simulator is provided with an angle forming means for controlling an angular part location around the axial line of this mounting member 27.
