    Abstract: PURPOSE: A pedal device for protecting drivers is provided to prevent the leg injuries of drivers due to a pedal arm in collisions by guiding the pedal arm to rotate to the front side. CONSTITUTION: A pedal device for protecting drivers comprises a cowl bracket (30), a pedal arm lever (50), and a reverse lever (60). The cowl bracket is joined to the upper rear side of a pedal member (10) with an assembling member (20) between them. The pedal arm lever is integrated with the upper end of a pedal arm (40). The pedal arm lever comes in contact with the cowl bracket when the pedal arm rotates to the rear side. The reverse lever is installed on the front side of the pedal arm lever to be rotated around the pedal member.
