Abstract: A package structure of an LTCC(Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) module is provided to minimize the size thereof by stacking a dummy cavity layer and a PCB substrate through a BGA(Ball Grid Array) process. A package structure of an LTCC(Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) module includes an RF(Radio Frquency) module(200), a dummy cavity layer(210), and a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) substrate(220). The RF module includes a transceiver circuit on one surface thereof and a patch antenna on the other surface thereof through an LTCC process. The RF module, the dummy cavity layer, and the PCB substrate are sequentially stacked. The stacked RF module, dummy cavity layer, and PCB substrate are connected with one another through a BGA(Ball Grid Array) process.

Abstract: A power amplifier using a power combiner is provided to enhance efficiency thereof by using a transmission line transformer for coupling power and reducing power loss. A first and second amplifier terminals(603,604) for amplifying high frequencies of different phases are connected to a first and second transmission lines of a first transmission line transformer. A third and fourth amplifier terminals(605,606) for amplifying high frequencies of different phases are connected to a third and fourth transmission lines of a second transmission line transformer. The second transmission line of the first transmission line transformer is connected to the third transmission line of the second transmission line transformer through a grounding part(505). The first transmission line of the first transmission line transformer is connected to a fifth transmission line of a third transmission line transformer. The fourth transmission line of the second transmission line transformer is connected to a sixth transmission line of the third transmission line transformer. The fifth transmission line of the third transmission line transformer is connected to the grounding part through an output resistor. The sixth transmission line of the third transmission line transformer is connected to the grounding part.

Abstract: An inductor formed in a semiconductor integrated circuit is provided to increase an inductance value and a quality factor by winding metal lines in several strands. A first insulator layer(20) is formed on a semiconductor substrate(10), and a first lower metal line(300) and a second lower metal line are formed on the first insulator layer. Abstract: A transmission line transformer suitable to miniaturization is provided to reduce the whole area by serially connecting an inductor or parallel connecting a capacitor to a transmission line, and to reduce parasitic resistance by using the short transmission line. A transmission line transformer suitable to miniaturization includes first to fourth transformed transmission lines(120,130,140,150). The first transformed transmission line is composed of a first transmission line(122), and a first capacitor(121) connected to the first transmission line in parallel. The second transformed transmission line is composed of a second transmission line(132), and a first inductor(131) connected to the second transmission line in series. The third transformed transmission line is composed of a third transmission line(143), a second inductor(141) connected to the third transmission line in series, and a second capacitor(142) connected to both ends of the third transmission line in parallel. The fourth transformed transmission line is composed of a fourth transmission line(153), a third capacitor(152) connected to the fourth transmission line in parallel, and a third inductor(151) inserted between the third capacitor and the fourth transmission line. The first to fourth transmission lines are shorter than a conventional transmission line.

Abstract: A power amplifier is provided to increase an operation range of the power amplifier by directly outputting output power from a driving amplifier stage using a transmission line transformer. A power amplifier includes a driving amplifier stage(503) and a power amplifier stage(502). Each of the power and driving amplifier stages includes a matching circuit and a power coupler. An output signal from the driving amplifier stage drives the power amplifier stage. The matching circuit and the power coupler is a transmission line transformer(501), which includes a secondary transmission line and a primary transmission line. The secondary transmission line is connected to an output terminal. The primary transmission lines are arranged at both sides of the secondary transmission line and have different parasitic components. The driving amplifier stage is connected to one end of the primary transmission line, while the power amplifier stage is connected to the other end of the primary transmission line.

Abstract: A circularly polarized radar device is provided to prevent the waste of power by decreasing the loss of transmitted power and polarization loss, and to make the size small by reducing the influence of interference although two radar devices face each other.
