    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent separation inside of an annular recessed part by forming a border line of a carcass of respective assumed tires adjacent to each other while sandwiching the annular recessed part between them in a specific shape in a tire which has the annular recessed part in the central part of a tread surface and has excellent waterproof performance. CONSTITUTION:A hoop material 3 to reduce a crown part is wound round a carcass striding between a pair of bead cores 2a and 2b. Belt layer 4a and 4b and a tread 5 are arranged in order on the outside in the diameter direction of the carcass. An annular recessed part 6 is formed in a part corresponding to the hoop material 3 of the tread 5. In this case, in a cross section passing through the rotation axis of a tire, a border line of the carcass partitioned into two crests 1a and 1b by fastening of the hoop material 3 forms the respective crests 1a and 1b as a crown part, and when respective single tires T1 and T2 containing this crown part and an existing sidewall are assumed, the border line of these carcasses is formed in a shape having respective intersections P1 and P2 on the inside in the diameter direction of the annular recessed part 6.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent cord confusion and shearing strain at the time of vulcanizing a belt by interposing a pair of space rubbers composed of extruded contours of hanging eyeblow-like shapes in their sections in an appointed range between master layers at both sides of a tread reinforcement layer and right under thereof, on an aircraft tire. CONSTITUTION:Space rubbers 9, 9' are arranged on surrounding a master layer 2a with rubber contours extruded in hanging eyebrow-like shapes in their sections on both sides of a helical reinforcement layer 2b arranged between mutual master layers 2a, and between the master layer 2a positioned just thereunder and the reinforcement layer. The space rubbers 9, 9' are in contact with the side edges of master layer 2a at the end parts of the eyebrow tail sides made to be thickened, and for intervenient lengths L measured from the side edges extending over a range of 10-30mm, an interlayer interval H between helically arranged cords neighboring to each other of the reinforcement layer 2b and a turn back strip of the master layer 2a is set in 1.9-4.4mm. According to this constitution, cord confusion and shearing strain of a belt in vulcanizing can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform rubber gauge around a bead core by preliminarily semivulcanizing or vulcanizing the outer surface of a cover rubber covering the periphery of the core in contact with plys prior to a green case manufacturing step. CONSTITUTION:A green tire 6 is charged in a mold of a tire molding vulcanizing machine, a shaping green tire 6 is strongly pressurized, the cover rubber 2 of a bead core 1 surrounded at its substantially half periphery with the winding region of a turn-up ply layer 7 is compressed during heating from a mold 4 to fluidize the rubber. However, since the rubber 2 of the core 1 is preliminarily semivulcanized or vulcanized on its outer surface opposed to the turnup ply of its carcass, even if it is effected by the shaping pressure in the mold 4 of a tire molding vulcanizing machine during heating, actual rubber fluidization does not occur in the rubber 2, and after the vulcanization is finished, the gage of the rubber 2 is uniformly obtained on the whole periphery of the core 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a pneumatic tire with necessary and sufficient rigidity distribution with no increase of any member by making reinforcing elements for strips having distribution in width direction so as to give the maximum value at the side edges of a belt, to a ratio of amplitude to wave length of the corrugation. CONSTITUTION:Strips B1-B5 making plural numbers of cord or filament arranged in corrugation all together around a toroidal carcass 2 as reinforcing elements and coated with high polymer material lower in its elastic modulus are used as a belt 3 contributing to strengthen a crown. It is possible to control both rigidity and envelope capability by arranging reinforcing elements for strips B1-B5 in distributions in width direction having the maximum values, at side edges of the belt 3, of a ratio a/lambda of amplitude (a) to wave length lambdaof corrugations, and especially by arranging the same in distribution increasing gradually toward the side edges of the belt 3, so it is possible to realize improved durability of the belt and to suppress partial wear while securing maneuvering performance as it is.

The profile of the carcass is set such that the distance (u) between the contact points E and A of the curve N and the tangential lines m, m', intervals (s), (t) between the curve N and the carcass C in the upper and lower regions of the sidewall satisfy the formulae I-III respectively.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To protect uneven wear by constituting a radial tire from a plurality of carcasses consisting of organic fiber cords having a predetermined cord angle, a cross belt and a circumferential bent and making the diameter of cross belt cord equal or smaller than the cord diameter of the circumferential belt. CONSTITUTION:Organic fiber cords are arranged in parallel at 70-90 deg. angle to the equator surface to constitute a plurality of plied carcasses 1 which are folded back from the inside to the outside around a bead portion. Also, two layers of organic fiber cords arranged in parallel at 10-70 deg. angle to the equator form a cross belt layer 2 so that cords cross each other. Also, one layer of circumferential belt 3 having the organic fiber cords having the same material as the cross belt 2 and arranged parallel to the equator are provided. The cord diameter of the cross belt 2 is equator to that as the circumferential belt 3 or less. Thus, this tire holds antistanding wave property and durability to prevent uneven wear.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a tire composed of lightweight aromatic polyamide fiber cords having an excellent bead durability, by protecting each terminal end part of a carcass ply with one of reinforcing layers, and by relieving stress concentration upon each end of the one reinforcing layer with the use of the other reinforcing layer. CONSTITUTION:One layer of carcass ply 1 is formed by arranging aromatic polyamide fiber cords at a predetermined angle to the equator plane of a tire, and the height HP of terminal end of the fold-back part 1a of the carcass ply around each of a pair of bead core 2 is set to 0.075-0.16 times as high as the height HT of tire cross-section of the carcass ply. Further, first and second reinforcing layers 3, 4 are successively superposed outward in each fold-back part of the carcass ply. Further, the first reinforcing layer is formed of steel cords, the heights of the outer terminal ends 3a thereof being higher than that of the terminal ends of the fold-back part 1a. Meanwhile, the second reinforcing layer 4 is formed of a plurality of reinforcing layers 4-1, 4-2 in which organic fiber cords cross with each other, the outer terminal ends 4-1a, 4-2a of the layers 4-1, 4-2 having specified heights.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a heavy duty pneumatic tire capable of stably holding its performance during the service duration thereof, by devising the radial plane profile of a carcass to aim at making it appropriate to reduce the rolling resistance of the tire. CONSTITUTION:As to a tire fitted onto a rim and charged with a normal internal pressure, at first a carcass line is defined such that it passes through the crossing point B between a straight line which is parallel with the axis of the tire, having a distance (h) from the circumference of the rim, equal to 15% of the cross-sectional height of the tire, and a carcass line, and the terminal point C of a line segment which starts from the above-mentioned point B and extends to the carcass line, orthogonal to the above-mentioned straight line. The ratio R/R' is set in a range of 0.65-0.85, where R' is the radius of curvature of the imaginary arc having the segment line as its cord and a distance between the cord and the arc being equal to the maximum distance between the carcass line and the above-mentioned segment line, and where R is the radius of curvature of the shoulder contour curve passing through the line C. Further, the remaining carcass line made to be smoothly contiguous to the above- mentioned curve and extending to the point B has only one inflection point is set such that it has the maximum distance (f) between itself and its basic arc, which is in a range of 3-8mm.
