    Abstract: The present invention relates to a bleach or disinfecting aqueous cleaning composition which is useful for the removal of grease or tar without any mechanical action. In particular, the instant compositions are derived from three liquid phases which merge together at the tricritical point to form one continuum forming the aqueous cleaning composition, wherein the three phases incorporate at least a polar solvent, a non-polar solvent or weakly polar solvent and a water soluble or low molecular weight water dispersible amphiphile and the composition contains a bleach and disinfecting agent.

    Abstract: A method is disclosed for fluoridating teeth using a two-component dentifrice system in which the first component is stable, semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a fluoride ion releasable hydrolyzable complex fluoride compound such as sodium fluorosilicate, in an aqueous vehicle in which xanthan gum is the major thickening agent and glycerin, sorbitol or mixtures thereof are the humectant, and the second component is a semi-solid, extrudable dentifrice composition containing a calcium ion releasable compound and an abrasive in an aqueous vehicle containing xanthan gum as the major thickener and glycerin, sorbitol or mixtures thereof as the humectant.     Abstract: The present invention provides for concentrated, granular detergent compositions comprising a mixture of: a) from about 15 to 50 % by weight of a surfactant; b) at least one detergent builder; c) from about 0.01 to about 7.5 % by weight of a deflocculating polymer composition containing polymer chains of the structure P-QR, wherein P represents a polymer chain segment of a hydrophilic polymer, and QR represents a hydrophobic end-cap group wherein R is an organic hydrophobic radical containing from about 4 to 28 carbon atoms, and Q is selected from the group consisting of O, CO2, S, SO, SO2, NR', PO4R, PO3R', Si OR'R'', Si R'R'', CR'OH, CR'R'' and CR'OR'' wherein R' and R'' are each hydrogen, and alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an aryl group; and d) water. The addition of the deflocculating polymer to a crutcher slurry prior to drying the slurry retards the propensity of the lamellar surfactant droplets dispersed in the slurry to flocculate, particularly where the droplets occupy a higher volume ration as the result of high concentrations of surfactant present in the detergent. The resultant slurry exhibits a significantly reduced viscosity which renders it more readily pumpable in a spray drying process.
