Abstract: The arrangement has a scanning microscope and contains a laser (10 and an optical arrangement (12) that forms an image of the light from the laser onto the specimen (13) under investigation. An optical component (3) is arranged between the laser and the optical arrangement to spectrally expand the laser light during a single pass through. Independent claims are also included for the following: a scanning microscope and an illumination arrangement for a scanning microscope.

Abstract: The arrangement has a scanning microscope e.g. confocal microscope, and a laser formed as a pulsed laser (1). An optical component is positioned between the laser and a lens (12), where light generated by the laser is spectrally processed by a unique cycle such that a spectral illumination light is emitted from the laser. An optical fiber (20) forms the optical component, and is comprised of photonic-bad-gap material. An optical diode is provided between the laser and fiber for suppressing back reflection of light rays originated from ends of the fiber.

Abstract: A beam of light is deflected by an arrangement (4) of mirrors rotated alternately by a rotating driving mechanism (1). It is possible to adjust almost any offset angle at all to a zero pint position. The rotating driving mechanism has two operating devices (2,3) working jointly but separate from each other to turn the arrangement of mirrors around an axis (5) of rotation.
