    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam deflecting device which gives the possibility of flexible and diverse uses by actualizing the maximum changeability of a frequency range and the highest reachable vibration frequency. SOLUTION: This beam deflecting device deflects a light beam by a mirror device (4) which can be rotated alternately by a rotary driving mechanism (1), and the rotary driving mechanism (1) is equipped with 1st and 2nd driving devices (2, 3) which rotate the mirror device (4) on a rotary shaft (5) together or independently of each other and are independent of each other; and the 2nd driving device (3) is fitted to the shaft (6) of the 1st driving device (2) so that the 2nd driving device (3) can be rotated by the 1st driving device (2), and the mirror device (4) is fitted to the shaft (7) of the 2nd driving device (3).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design and develop an optical arrangement in a beam path of a light source suitable for fluorescence excitation, preferably in a beam path of a confocal laser scanning microscope such that injection of excitation light of various excitation wavelengths is possible without having to switch or make special adjustment to the optical elements used when switching the wavelength of the excitation light.
    SOLUTION: The optical arrangement comprises at least one spectrally selective element (4) for injecting excitation light (3) of at least one light source (2) in the microscope and for separating and extracting the excitation light (3) scattered and reflected on an object (10) or for extracting the excitation light from light (13) coming from the object (10) via a detection beam path (12). The optical arrangement in the beam path of the light source suitable for fluorescence excitation, preferably in the beam path of the confocal laser scanning microscope is characterized in that excitation light (3, 9) of different wavelengths can be separated and extracted by the spectrally selective element (4) so that configuration can be changed with the simplest structure. Alternatively, the optical arrangement like this is characterized in that the spectrally selective element (4) can be adjusted to the excitation wavelength to be separated and extracted.

    Abstract: The objective (2) and beam divider and combiner (5) consists of a modular unit (8) coupled by interface (9) to the illuminating and scanning beam path (4) of the microscope (1). The unit (8) and the interface (9) are placed in the stand and so coupled to the microscope instead of the conventional objective turret, and the optical components of the unit (8) are mounted on a plate (11) in an airtight and thermally sealed housing (12). The unit (8) is held at constant temperature by means of an inbuilt heat-emitting component, specifically a diode laser source and are so designed as to fit onto their plate (11) by special holders which allow for temperature compensation and so leave the optical adjustment of the modular unit (8) unchanged. The objective stage (14) sits horizontal with the housing (12) coupled up and is accessible from outside so it can be adjusted from outside e.g. by motor and is operated by joystick etc.

    Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft eine Beleuchtungsanordnung für ein Lichtblatt-Mikroskop, bei dem eine Probe mit einem Beleuchtungslichtbündel (8) beleuchtet wird, das im Bereich der Probe als Lichtblatt (11) ausgebildet ist, mit einem Beleuchtungsobjektiv (4), einer Tubuslinse (3) und einer astigmatischen Optik (7). Die Beleuchtungsanordnung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die astigmatische Optik (7) zwischen der Tubuslinse (3) und dem Beleuchtungsobjektiv (4) angeordnet ist und/oder keine weiteren fokussierenden oder defokussierenden Elemente zwischen der astigmatischen Optik (7) und dem Beleuchtungsobjektiv (4) angeordnet sind. Alternativ kann auch vorgesehen sein, dass die astigmatische Optik Teil des Beleuchtungsobjektivs (4) ist. Darüber hinaus betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Beleuchten einer Probe mittels einer solchen Beleuchtungsanordnung, sowie ein Mikroskop, das eine solche Beleuchtungsanordnung beinhaltet.
