Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the perfect supply of oil onto a spherical body and a spherical seat by forming the recessed oil grooves onto the spherical seat and supplying oil onto the top edge part of the spherical body and the spherical seat. CONSTITUTION:An oil reservoir 15 is formed at the center part of a spherical seat 14. Recessed oil grooves 16 are formed radially onto the spherical seat 14. With such constitution, the oil supplied from an oil hole 9a opened onto the side surface of a spring 9 is supplied onto the spherical seat 14, generating a hydraulic pressure, by the movement of a spherical body 8, and introduced into the oil reservoir 15. Therefore, oil can be supplied perfectly onto the top edge part of the spherical body 8 and the spherical seat 14.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to feed refrigerator oil into a cylinder chamber in a closed motor compressor for a refrigerator, by forming a through-hole communicating between the cylinder chamber and a space below the level of refrigerator oil, in a cylinder in the vicinity of the bottom dead center of the piston. CONSTITUTION:A through-hole 32 communicating between a cylinder chamber 9a and a space below the level of refrigerator oil 11, is formed in a cylinder 9 in the vicinity of the bottom dead center thereof. Further coolant gas is introduced into a cylinder chamber 9a from a suction chamber 7a in a cylinder head 7 through a suction hole 8a in a valve plate 8 so that the gas is compressed by a piston 6 to be discharged into a discharge chamber 7b through a discharge hole 8b. When the piston 6 moves toward the bottom dead center to suck the gas, the pressure of the cylinder chamber 9a is lowered to produce a pressure differential so that the refrigerator oil 11 is introduced. However, since the through-hole 32 is made to be near to the bottom dead center, no extreme pressure differential is produced so that a suitable amount of the refrigerator oil 11 is introduced into the cylinder chamber 9a. Thus, it is possible to eliminate the use of a capillary tube and a plug so that rationalization may be attained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable easy provision of parallelism of a compressor element to the attaching surface of an electric motor element, by a method wherein leg members, adapted to attach the electric motor element thereto, are secured to a frame formed by a laminar material. CONSTITUTION:A frame 14 is formed by a laminar material, and leg members 15, adapted to attach a fixer 22, being an electric motor element 20, thereto, are secured to the frame 14. If after, the leg members 15 are attached to the frame 14, machining, e.g. cutting, is applied on the attaching surface of the fixer 22 of the leg member 15, spring back is prevented from occurring to a cut surface, and uniform parallelism between the attaching surface of a compressor element 13 of the frame 14 and the attaching surface of the fixer 22 is provided. This constitution enables provision of a uniform gap between the fixer 22 and a rotor 21, reduces production of vibration of a compressor, and provides stable startability.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve volume efficiency by constituting monolithically the coolant suction port of a sealed vessel, a suction muffler, a suction chamber, a delivery chamber and a passage for leading suction gases from the coolant suction port to the suction chamber. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head comprises covers A and B. The cover B is formed with a delivery chamber 1, a suction chamber 2, a suction muffler chamber 4, a suction coolant passage 3 and a coolant suction port 5. Coolant gases cool a cylinder head suction port 5 and a cylinder head 11, pass through the coolant passage 3 and the suction muffler chamber 4, and are finally sucked into the suction chamber 2. Consequently, cooling gases for the cylinder head 11 and the return gases thereof are mixed with gases in a sealed vessel and reach the suction chamber 2 without any temperature rise up to a high level, thereby enabling the improvement of volume efficiency.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce transmission of solid vibration by providing a suction pipe extending through an enclosing armor, an insert pipe inserted into a muffler and a tight coil spring fitted between both pipes to prevent suction refrigerant gas returning to the enclosing armor from contacting a high temperature motor compression element. CONSTITUTION:A suction gas introducing path 12 is constituted from a suction pipe 13, tight coil spring 14, insert pipe 15 and suction muffler 16 connected to each other, and insulated from heat generated by a motor element 2 and a compression element 3 in an enclosing armor 1. Thus, suction gas is sucked directly into the suction muffler 16 without being exposed to high temperature atmosphere. Also, since the suction muffler 16 is connected to the suction pipe 13 through the insert pipe 15 by the tight coil spring 14, they can follow up the relative movement of elements in a compressor in the directions of normal and vertical lines to reduce the transmission of vibration from the internal elements. Also, an inlet port 16a and the insert pipe 15 produce a bearing force P due to torsional moment M to reduce vibratory sound between the inlet port and the insert pipe.

Carbon block, an org. peroxide, and if necessary, an extender oil and/or a cross-linking aid are compounded with the ethylene- propylene copolymer or terpolymer rubber, pref. only carbon black and org. compds. being used. In the case of butyl rubber, it is compounded with carbon black and a resinous vulcanizing agent, pref. only org. compds. being used. This compsn. is molded into a rubber part for cooling apparatus or is impregnated into or laminated with a woven or nonwoven fabric, paper, etc., to give the part.
