    Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain a constant liquid level, whether a closed type compressor is at rest, in operation or otherwise, and improve the reliability of the compressor by making the compressor continuous to a liquid reservoir section at one side thereof via a communication pipe and another pipe fitted with a nonreturn valve. CONSTITUTION:When a closed type compressor is at rest, a refrigerant is dissolved in refrigerator oil 7 in a closed vessel 1, and a liquid level in the vessel 1 increases accordingly. Actually, however, the increased refrigerator oil 7 is made to flow to a liquid reservoir section 4 via a communication pipe 5 fitted at an allowable liquid level, thereby preventing an increase in liquid level. On the other hand, when the compressor is operating, the refrigerator oil 7 is as well carried to a system, together with delivered gas and, therefore, the liquid level drops. In this case, the liquid is made to flow from the liquid reservoir section 4 to the closed vessel 1 having a lower liquid level. In addition, the liquid level in the liquid reservoir section 4 becomes minimum during the operation of the compressor. Even when the liquid level in the vessel 1 increases, therefore, no liquid reversely flows to the liquid reservoir section 4, due to the nonreturn valve of a pipe 6, thereby maintaining a constant liquid level in the closed type compressor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent outflow of a liquid refrigerant from an accumulator and to enable improvement of reliability of a freezing cycle by a method wherein, by means of a difference in specific gravity between a liquid refrigerant and freezer oil, an oil return hole is opened and closed by a vertically moving annular float. CONSTITUTION:During the starting and the restarting of a freezing cycle, a large quantity of a liquid refrigerant flows in an accumulator 1a from a heat exchanger and freezer oil also flows therein, and gathers in the lower space part of a container 2. Specific gravity of a liquid refrigerant is 1.2-1.3, and specific gravity of freezer oil is approximate 0.9. For example, when specific gravity of an annular float 8 is set to 1.0, when there is a large quantity of the liquid refrigerant, the annular float 8 is floated to a stopper 9 by means of specific gravity to close an oil return hole 7. when the liquid refrigerant is gasified and a ratio of freezer oil is increased, the specific gravity difference of the annular float 8 is decreased to zero. The float sinks downward, the oil return hole 7 is opened, and the freezer oil is caused to flow out to an outflow pipe 4 and sucked in a compressor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled lubricant having a low viscosity and capable of inhibiting sludge formation, which comprises a particular base oil having a decreased low-boiling fraction content. CONSTITUTION:A flon compressor lubricant comprising an alkylbenzene or a mixed oil of an alkylbenzene and a mineral oil as a base oil, wherein the content of fractions having a boiling point of 330 deg.C (under 1atm) or less of the lubricant is limited to 5vol% or less. The alkylbenzene which can be suitably employed may either have a branched side chain (hard type) or a straight side chain (soft type). A mineral oil of the paraffin group type may be employed. It is preferred that the mixing ratio of alkylbenzene to mineral oil be in the range of about 10:0- about 20:80vol%. When the alkylbenzene is present in an amt. of 20vol% or more, the compatibility with flon and fluidity at low temp. of the lubricant are improved. By the use of the above-mentioned lubricant, a low-viscosity lubrication is ensured, and the sludge formation and adherence around the discharge valve of the compressor can be inhibited.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To solve two-layer separation and oil return by using lubricating oil which takes a hydrocarbon coolant not containing chlorine and fluorine as a principal component and has a viscosity of a specified range at a specified temperature, and the mutual soluble temperature of which is a specified temperature or less. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerating apparatus comprises a compressor, a condenser, an expanding mechanism and an evaporator, and lubricating oil which is mainly composed of a hydrocarbon coolant not containing chlorine and fluorine represented by R-600a, and has a refrigerating machine oil viscosity of 5-1500CSt at 40 deg.C, and the mutual soluble temperature of which is -25 deg.C or less is used in a low temperature refrigerating apparatus such as a refrigerator or the like. Thus, in the whole temperature region of operating environment, lubricating oil and a coolant are kept from two-layer separation, the problem of oil return can be solved, the performance and reliability of the compressor and the refrigerating apparatus can be ensured, and it is also economically advantageous.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the prevention of troubles of an expansion mechanism part which can be caused by contaminants contained within a refrigerating cycle by providing a filter part having filtering meshes of specified sizes. CONSTITUTION:A filter part 6 having filtering meshes of not less than 30Angstrom -70mum is provided between a condenser 2 and a dryer 3. High temperature, high pressure refrigerant gas which has been compressed by a compressor 1 is made to pass through the condenser 2 in which the refrigerant gas is cooled and liquefied so as to convert into high pressure liquid, and then the liquefied refrigerant passes through the dryer 3 and flows into an expansion mechanism 4, in which the refrigerant converts into wet-vapor, which is evaporated in an evaporator 5 and returns to the compressor 1. Refrigerant and refrigerating machine oil as well as rust-preventing oil, cutting oil and machining oil primarily consisting of mineral oil and used during the assembly of the refrigerating cycle circulate within the refrigerating cycle and pass through the filter part 6 having the filtering meshes of 30Angstrom -70mum. Matters of large molecular sizes insoluble in the refrigerant are removed by a filter 7. Troubles of the expansion mechanism part which can be caused by contaminants in the refrigerating cycle unit is prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease a temperature rise in an electric component cover by using a material of heat insulation for a fixture of the electric component cover, and providing the electric component cover for covering electric component parts to heat-insulate a closed type electric motor compressor. CONSTITUTION:In an electric component protecting device for a closed type electric motor compressor 1, a steel plate of sandwich structure with plastic in the inside having heat insulation is used for a fixture 4. Or the fixture 4 is brought into contact with the closed type electric motor compressor 1 only by a minimum required limit so that a total unit is covered with an electric component cover 3. Accordingly, by using a material having heat insulation for the fixture 4 for fixing the electric component cover 3 connected to the closed type electric motor compressor 1, heat conduction from the closed type electric motor compressor 1 can be prevented. In this way, also a temperature rise in the electric component cover 3 is decreased to reduce a temperature rise of a shielded wire in the electric component cover 3.
