Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for optimizing real time services (e.g., such as a voice over Long Term Evolution (LTE) (VoLTE)) for devices with limited communications resources, such as machine type communication (MTC) devices and enhanced MTC (eMTC) devices. In one aspect, a UE determines a first configuration of subframes within at least one radio frame available for the UE and other UEs to use for bundled communications with a BS. The UE receives an indication of one or more subframes within the at least one radio frame that are unavailable for bundled uplink transmissions, and determines a second configuration of subframes to use for bundled communications based on the indication. The UE overrides the first configuration of subframes with the second configuration of subframes, and communicates with the BS using the second configuration of subframes. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate device-side access point list management. Blacklists of access points (102, 124, 204, 208) unsuitable for providing network access to a related mobile device can be maintained as well as whitelists of suitable access points. The lists can be managed using an interface provided at the mobile device. In addition, lists can be modified according to provisioned network updates. Also, the lists can be of maximum size such that older entries can be purged upon insertion of newer entries based on a number of factors; timed entry deletion is provided as well. Access points (102, 124, 204, 208) in the lists can be stored and presented according to various identifiers related to the access points (102, 124, 204, 208). (Figure 6)

Abstract: A UE apparatus determines UE capability and signals UE capability information to a base station. The UE may signal RF capability information to the base station with reference to at least one band combination and signal other baseband parameter(s) (obp(s)) to the base station. The RF capability information indicate RF capability with reference to at least one other band combination parameter. The obp may be indicated on a per UE basis, a per band basis, a per band combination basis, a per band, per band combination basis; and/or a per CC, per band, per band combination basis. Each band combination may indicate a combination of a numerology, a layer and a bandwidth. In another example, a plurality of basebands may be defined, each baseband indicating a combination of a numerology, a layer and a bandwidth.

Abstract: Provisioning and access control for communication nodes (110) involves assigning identifiers to sets of nodes where the identifiers may be used to control access to restricted access nodes that provide certain services only to certain defined sets of nodes. In some aspects provisioning a node may involve providing a unique identifier for sets of one or more nodes such as restricted access points (102, 104) and access terminals (106, 108) that are authorized to receive service from the restricted access points. Access control (1790, 1792) may be provided by operation of a restricted access point and/or a network node. In some aspects, provisioning a node involves providing a preferred roaming list for the node. In some aspects, a node may be provisioned with a preferred roaming list through the use of a bootstrap beacon.

Abstract: A femto cell neighbor list message for a wireless communication system that includes the frequencies and pseudonoise offsets reserved for macro cells and femto cells is disclosed. When the user equipment discovers the femto cell, the user equipment can read the Femto Cell Identification Message and present the identification information to the subscriber. In absence of this knowledge, a manual femto cell search must search all frequencies and all pseudonoise offsets resulting in lengthy search times.
