    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a yarn of mixed filaments differing in deniers comprising a fine- denier dividable segment and a high-denier segment with a different cross section and giving woven and knitted fabrics which have high softness, bulkiness and rich drapeability. CONSTITUTION:(A) Polyethylene terephthalate(PET) containing 1.2 to 10wt.% of titanium oxide dull additive is prepared as the polymer 1 for the segment to be divided 1, and (B) a hot water-soluble isophthalic acid-copolymerized PET as a dividable segment 2 and as a taperable segments 3 and (C) an isophthalic acid-copolymerized PET containing 1.2 to 10wt.% titanium oxide dull additive as a highly different cross section segment 4 are also prepared. Both the low-shrinkage dividable conjugated filaments comprising the polymer components 1 and 2 with the denier of the divided segment of 0.05 to 0.5de and the conjugated filaments whose single yarn deniers are 4 to 10 comprising polymer components 3 and 4 are simultaneously melt-extruded through a same spinneret to give the yarn of mixed filaments differing in deniers. The mixed filament yarn is used as weft and warp to form a woven fabric, then treated with hot water to leach out the components 2, 3 and obtain a woven fabric in which the count of the denier of the fine filaments is more than 20 to that of the thick filaments.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain napped woven and knitted fabrics having excellent gloss and deepness in color and a high-class feeling by using ground yarn composed of polyester yarn and pile yarn having a specific dulling agent content and fineness, respectively, wherein yarn having a product of strength and elongation in a prescribed range is used as the pile yarn. CONSTITUTION:Polyester yarn having 1.0-4.0de fineness of single yarn is used for ground yarn and pile yarn. Yarn containing 0.05-0.5wt.% of a dulling agent such as titanium oxide, having 50-100de fineness is used as the ground yarn and yarn containing 0-0.1wt.% of a dulling agent, 75-125de fineness and 3.5-6.5 product of strength and elongation when the product of strength and elongation=TX(1+E/100) [in the formula, T is strength (g/d) at break, E is elongation (R) at break] is used as the pile yarn. Woven and knitted fabrics of double structure are produced by using the ground yarn and the pile yarn, subjected to center cutting and passed through a shearing process to give napped woven and knitted fabrics having stable qualities with slight wear of a knife without deforming the cut section.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain polyester hollow fiber having collapse resistance, light weight and heat retaining properties as well as excellent transparency which no conventional material can attain and unique color-developing properties, thus giving a valuable excellent fiber material which can be distinguished from conventional ones.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject thick and thin yarn capable of being dyed under ordinary pressure and having 'KASURI' (splashed pattern-like feeling of handling with crispiness while utilizing texture of natural fiber by mixing with the natural fiber by copolymerizing a prescribed amount of specified polyethylene glycol with a polyester. CONSTITUTION:The objective thick and thin yarn is composed of polyester multifilament yarn, obtained by copolymerizing polyethylene glycol with 500-3000 average molecular weight and having >=2.8-g/d strength, >=50% elongation, 3-15% unevenness expressed in terms of U% value and >=17% black color lightness in dyeing thereof at 98 deg.C. Furthermore, the objective thick and thin yarn is preferably dyed with natural fiber under ordinary pressure and converted into a woven or knitted fabric.
