Abstract:
An advanced headset is provided to enable two-way communication between a portable electronic device to the headset; a slave device located within the headset to receive and process the data; and at least one audio output device to transmit the data to a user. A method for transmitting data from a portable electronic device to a headset having a master device initialize a synchronization mechanism, transmitting the synchronization mechanism to a slave device within the digital headset via a bus, transmitting the data between the master device and slave device, and outputting the data as acoustic signals through an output device. The slave device may contain one or more speakers, controlled by one or more speaker amplifiers. The slave device may contain digital active noise cancellation, beam forming or audio enhanced circuits.
Abstract:
A wireless earphone that comprises a transceiver circuit for receiving streaming audio from a data source over a local ad hoc wireless network. When the data source and the earphone are out of range, they transition automatically to an infrastructure wireless network. If there is no common infrastructure wireless network for both the data source and the speakerphone set, the earphone connects to a host server via an available wireless network.
Abstract:
A system comprises an accessory, a mobile unit module, and a battery pack module. The accessory is worn one of on and near a portion of a body of a user. The mobile unit module removably couples to the accessory. The battery pack module removably couples to one of the mobile unit and the accessory.
Abstract:
A display element (7) is turned off by stopping power supply when an image is displayed on a display section (6). When an image is displayed on the display section (6), the user is mostly observing the image with a head mount display (1) mounted on the user. At such time, since the display element (7) cannot be visually recognized, problem does not occur even when the display element is turned off. Furthermore, since the display element (7) is not required to be supplied with power supply, the service life of a battery is lengthened by such quantity. Abstract:
An audio system is provided that comprises a headphone for reading music information or the like recorded in a memory card attached to an external interface to reproduce audio signal and for outputting sound conforming to the audio signal; and a remote control unit for transmitting control signal for controlling reproduction function or the like of the music information of the headphone to the headphone due to infrared rays. In the audio system, the control signal of infrared rays of less data amount compared with the audio signal or the like is transmitted. Accordingly, circuit configuration and component configuration can be made simpler, the remote control unit can be downsized, and the headphone and the remote control unit can be made wireless, resulting in an easier handling.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a band configured to be worn on the head of a user. The band has a central portion and first and second temple portions extending therefrom. The central portion is configured to contact a portion of the face of a user, and the temple portions are configured to contact portions of the head of the user near ears thereof. An operational unit having a display element is affixed to the first temple portion and includes a housing having an arm defining a longitudinal axis. The housing also includes an elbow portion defining a display end that supports the display element such that it extends along a display axis angled with respect to the longitudinal axis and such that the display element is positionable over an eye of the user. Image generating means are disposed within the housing for generating an image presentable on the display element.
Abstract:
A headset includes a wearable body, first and second earphones extending from the wearable body, controls for controlling an external communication/multimedia device wirelessly, a microphone for picking up vocal data from a user of the headset system and a signal processing unit. The signal processing unit includes circuitry for processing the vocal data into a distinctly audible vocal feedback signal, circuitry for enhancing the vocal feedback signal thereby producing an enhanced vocal feedback signal and circuitry for mixing the enhanced vocal feedback signal with audio signals originating from the external communication/multimedia device, thereby producing a mixed output signal and then sending the mixed output signal to the user via the earphones. The external communication/multimedia device comprises a vocal command application and the headset further comprises a vocal command control for sending vocal commands to the external communication/multimedia device and to the vocal command application.
Abstract:
An audio accessory (1) having headphones (2) with at least one ear-cup (7) and a connection cable (3) for connecting the headphones to an audio device (10) includes a separate connection cable with connection plugs (4B, 5B) at each of its two ends, whereby connections plugs of different types are provided at the respective ends of the connection cable. Separate sockets (4A) of the different types are further provided in the headphones for connection to a respective connection plug at an end of the connection cable. Alternative uses for the audio accessory as well as headphones and a connection cable are also provided.
