    Abstract: A modular connector includes at least a pair of dielectric housing modules defining at least one conductor-receiving passage therebetween. The passage is split axially whereby a passage portion is disposed in each housing module. The housing modules are plated with conductive shielding material at least in the area of the split passage. A conductor, for example, a coaxial cable section or a differential signal pair, surrouding by a dielectric sheath is disposed in the conductor-receiving passage.

    Abstract: A connector includes a housing (150) with a set of broad-side coupled terminals (200) configured to engage a pair of signal traces (36) on a first panel (20) and a second panel (30) and transfer signals between the signal traces on the first and second panels. The connector may be slid onto the edges and then fastened to one or both of the panels with a locking feature. Multiple signal pairs may be included in the connector and may be electrically separated. The design of the connector helps facilitate high-speed data communication per signal pair with a return loss performance that does not exceed at predetermined level. Certain configurations of the connector may be used for co- planar configurations. Certain configurations of the connector may couple together panels of different thicknesses.

    Abstract: An electrical power connector includes a dielectric housing having a mating cavity for receiving a mating connector inserted into the cavity through an open front end thereof in a mating direction. A blade support arm projects forwardly within the cavity. The support arm is arranged in a vertical orientation. Each support arm has two sides and can include a channel formed in each side. The power terminals can be disposed on each side of the support arm and within the respective channel.

    Abstract: A circuit board includes a first and second ground layer and a plurality of signal vias extending between the ground layers but not electrical contact therewith. Ground vias coupled to the first and second ground layers can be positioned adjacent signal vias and can include ground traces that extend between adjacent ground vias. Air holes can be positioned between signal vias and/or adjacent signal vias to modify the electrical performance of the circuit board.     Abstract: A power module (24) of an electrical connector is provided which has a dielectric housing and a pair of blade terminals (28. 28"). The housing has a forward face and a support arm (42) projecting forwardly from the face. The support arm has opposing first and second sides. The housing has a cavity (60). The face has a pair of slots extending therethrough which are in communication with the cavity and which arc provided adjacent the sides of the support arm. Each of the blade terminals has a body portion (30) and a blade portion (36). The body portions are housed in the cavity and the blade portions extend through the slots and are positioned alongside the sides of the support arm. The electrical connector may also have a signal module (14) interconnected to the power module (24).
