    Abstract: In order to supply in an axial gas flow laser more energy to the gas flowing in an energizing pipe, without forcing the gas to pass from a subsonic speed to a supersonic speed due to the formation of boundary layers (102) at the inner wall of the energizing pipe, thereby blocking the pipe for a subsequent flow, the cross-section area (F(x)) of the pipe increases continuously in the axial direction in the gas flow direction (R). The gas flow speed increases along the pipe as the gas energy increases, and therefore the thickness of the boundary layer (102), this being compensated by the enlargement of the pipe in order to maintain efficient the remaining cross-section area of the flow.
