Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-purity branched phenyl sesquioxane and to provide a method for preparing the compound. SOLUTION: This high-purity, neutral, colorless and odorless branched phenylsesquioxane liquid is shown by the formula Me3 SiO-(Me3 SiOPhSiO)x -SiMe3 (in the formula, Me is methyl; Ph is phenyl; (x) is 1 to 6) and substantially does not contain an alkoxysilane, chlorosilane, silanol functional substance, hexamethyldisiloxane and a free organic and/or inorganic compound.
