Abstract: A controlled sliding valve comprises a valve housing with cylindric bore, in which a slide controlling a hydraulic flow reciprocates by an adjusting force. The sealing surfaces between the slide and bore form a sealing gap converging in the flow direction, and the size of the flow is controlled between a throttling edge and longitudinal control grooves (7, 8; 44, 45) in the slide with variable cross-sectional area in the direction of movement of the slide. A centering spring retains the slide in closing position. In order to obtain low adjusting forces, to control the volume so as to be substantially constant and independent of the pressure drop over the valve, and to maintain low leakage past the slide, the valve housing includes a central chamber (6) provided with a port (3), and on both sides of said central chamber two control chambers (9, 10) with ports and each with a sealing gap (11 and, respectively, 12) spaced from each other. Either of the central chamber (6) and two control chambers (9, 10) communicates in all adjustment positions with the control grooves (7, 8), which can be caused to open to only one of the sealing gaps (11 or 12) at a time. The centering spring (13) acts centering for the slide from the positions of movement where there is flow connection between the central chamber (6) and either of the two control chambers (9, 10), and the flow direction is in the converging direction of the sealing gaps (18, 19) whereby, thus, the hydraulic flow can pass between the central chamber (6) and one of the two control chambers (9, 10) at a time in the direction determined by the sealing gaps having to converge in the flow direction.

Abstract: A sealing device between two cylindrical details (3, 4) consists of a sealing ring (1) and at least one sealing element (10, 11, 30, 37) arranged in a sealing groove (2) in one (3) of the details. Moreover, the radial height (h) of the sealing ring (1) along its side surfaces (6, 7) facing the gap (12) between the details (3, 4) is at least as large as the radial height of the gap.

Abstract: A heat exchanger for exchange of heat between two liquid media, particularly an oil-water-heat exchanger for cooling engine or transmission oil in an automotive vehicle with the aid of the cooling water flow of the engine, comprises two heat-exchange chambers (1, 2) mutually separated by a common liquid-impervious partition wall (3) and intended to be through-passed by a respective one of the media. The heat-exchange chamber (1) for the water is annular and located radially inwards of the partition wall and encloses a direct flow path for the water from the inlet (4) to the outlet (5), and communicates with the direct flow path in a manner such that only part of the total water flow through the inlet (4) will pass through the said heat-exchange chamber (1), whereas the remainder of the water will flow along the direct flow path to the outlet (5). Abstract: A heat exchanger for the exchange of heat between two media (Ma, Mb), each of which flows through a respective one of two chambers (A, B) mutually separated by a medium-impervious partition wall (5) made of thermal conductive material. The interior of each of the flow chambers, or at least of one flow chamber, is divided into a large number of medium-flow passages, which are connected in parallel with respect to the flow of medium passing therethrough. The flow passages (13, and 17) have a substantially rectangular cross-section having a flow area which is so adapted in respect of the medium flowing therethrough that the flow in the passages is substantially laminar throughout the whole length of the passages, without a central turbulent zone. The width (s) of the flow passages parallel with the partition wall is at most 1.5 mm and preferably less than 1.00 mm. The height (h) of the flow passages, and therewith the passage walls, at right angles to the partition wall is normally less than 8 mm and often 2-5 mm, while the thickness of the passage walls is normally less than 1 mm.

Abstract: The sealing device is intended for sealing in one direction between the co-operating surface of a cylindric cavity and the shell surface of a spindle (3) movable therein.
