Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a dialysing fluid to be dissolved sanitarily without contact between the preparation and outside air and to be fed at a constant speed and constant concentration, and a device for the dissolution. SOLUTION: The method for preparing a dialysing fluid to be fed with a constant electrolytic concentration using a dialysing agent for the artificial kidney comprised of an agent A containing sodium chloride, an agent B containing sodium bicarbonate, and an agent C containing calcium salt and magnesium salt as electrolytic components is provided. The method comprises: (1) a step of dissolving the agent A in the aqueous solution of the agent C, and (2) a step of mixing the mixed liquid obtained in the process (1) with the aqueous solution of the agent B. In addition, the device for implementing the method is provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound useful for the development of medicines, etc. at a low cost on a large seale by allowing an epimerase to act on VDP-GlcNac and subsequently applying a column to the product to separate the compound from the raw material, wherein a lectin capable of selectively binding to the compound is immobilized on the column. SOLUTION: This method for producing VDP-GalNAc comprises allowing an epimerase to act on VDP-GlcNAc to convert into the VDP-GalNAc, subjecting the reaction mixture to a column to separate the VDP-GalNAc from the VDP-GlcNAc. A lectin capable of selectively binding to the VDP-GalNAc is immobilized on the column. Thus, the objective VDP-GalNAc can be obtained at a low cost on a large scale. Dolichosbiflorus agglutinin(DBA), Griffonia simplicifolia agglutinin(GSA), Helix pomatia agglutinin(HPA), etc., are desirably used as the lectin capable of selectively binding to the VDP-GalNAc.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the solidification of hydroxyapatite in tubes of tooth pastes or in pumps by allowing an aqueous suspension or solution containing calcium to react with a phosphorus-containing aqueous solution under special conditions. SOLUTION: An aqueous suspension or solution containing 1-70wt.% of calcium hydroxide or a calcium salt and an aqueous solution containing 5-90wt.% of phosphoric acid or a phosphate salt are mixed so that the Ca/P molar ratio may meet 1.60-1.70, to effect their reaction at a pH of 6-8 and a temperature of 90-100 deg.C for 30 minutes to 8 hours to give hydroxyapatite having a half width of /g.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance, chemical resistance, ion exchange ability, antimicrobial property, electrically insulating properties and neutron absorbing ability of a fibrous substance by coating the surface of a fibrous substance with aluminum borosulfate or aluminum borate. CONSTITUTION:One or more compounds selected from sulfuric acid salts of Al, hydroxides of Al, hydroxides of alkali metals, carbonic acid salts of alkali metals, aluminic acid salts of alkali metals, carbonic acid salts of ammonium and ammonium hydroxide are made to react in the presence of a fibrous substance such as fibrous alkali metal salt of titanic acid, a fibrous boric acid transition metal salt, a fibrous alkaline earth metal salt of boric acid or ZnO whisker in an equivalent ratio of 1:(4.5-6.0) at 5-80 deg.C for 1-5hr. Then, a boron compound is added thereto and the fibrous substance is made to react with the boron compound at 10-200 deg.C for 1-8hr and the reactional product is washed with water and dried to coat the surface of the fibrous substance with aluminum borosulfate or aluminum borate.
