    Abstract: The suction muffler has an inlet adjacent the refrigerant return line and is made of an insulating material. It is mounted on a pair of suction tubes secured to the cylinder head and extending into the interior of the muffler. A discharge muffler system includes a pair of large muffler chambers formed partially in a cylinder block and connected by an external transfer tube. A large straight passage connects the discharge plenum in the cylinder head with one muffler chamber, while a discharge line extends from the other muffler chamber to the exterior of the compressor casing. The inlet to the chambers is through a horizontal suction passage which opens to the exterior on the sidewall of the muffler shell.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a simplified lightweight line trimmer cutting head assembly by constituting a cutting head assembly of specific six constituting members. CONSTITUTION: The aerosol generating material 10 comprises a housing 18 formed of a boss 20 and a cover member 22, a thread-cut shaft 24, a coiled compression spring 26, a line releasing button 28 and a line housing spool 30. The cutting head assembly is screwed to the end of a driving shaft 12 of the elastic line trimmer and is rotationally driven at a high speed around an axial center 14. The cutting head assembly may be easily and rapidly assembled and disassembled without using any tools at all. The boss, the cover member, the line housing spool and the line releasing button are made of plastic.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To extend a cutting rope to its suitable operational length by controlling the feed-out of an exchange rope through a mechanism to react to imbalanced centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION: When the cutting rope is broken, according to centrifugal feed- out force F1 on a cutting rope 31, resistant force F3 from the cutting rope 31 imbalances reference centrifugal force F2 on a balance arm 68 with the resistant force F3 . Net force F4 is operated, the balance arm 68 is pivotally moved to the outside, and a rope spool 65 is reduced until released. The rope spool 65 first accelerated upward and next accelerated downward in axial direction while keeping resistant drag force on the cutting rope 31. When impbalancing F3 with F2 , concerning the length of a rope section extended outside, the balance arm 68 is pivotally moved upward, the rope spool 65 is fastened, and the cutting rope 31 is prevented from being fed out.

    Abstract: An ice cube storage bin located beneath an automatic ice maker of a domestic refrigerator contains a pair of elongated ice dispensing rams that reciprocate along parallel lines, one of the rams moving toward the front of the bin, as the other moves toward the rear. The rams are interconnected by a pulley mounted belt that pulls one ram to the rear of the bin, as the other ram is pushed toward the front of the bin by a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a pair of cam discs eccentrically mounted in opposed relation on a common motor shaft located outside of the bin adjacent its rear wall. A pair of resilient lever arms, having their top ends pivotally mounted to the outside of the rear wall of the bin and their bottom ends pivotally connected to the rearward ends of the rams which extend from the interior of the bin, are engaged at their intermediate portions by the rotating cam discs wherein the rams are alternately pushed by the bottom ends of the lever arms toward the front of the bin. The use of dual reciprocating rams, and the simplified push-pull drive means including the pulley mounted belt and the eccentric cam discs, provide a highly efficent and reliable ice dispensing mechanism.
