Abstract: 레이저 가공 장치 및 이를 이용하여 액정 디스플레이 패널의 결함 픽셀에 대하여 레이저를 조사하여 결함을 수정하는 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따르면, 레이저를 이용하여 액정 디스플레이 패널의 픽셀 결함을 수정하는 레이저 가공 장치로서, 스테이지 상에 거치된 액정 디스플레이 패널을 촬영하는 촬상 유닛과, 촬상 유닛에 의해 촬영된 영상을 분석하여 픽셀 객체를 생성하고, 픽셀 객체 중 결함 픽셀에 상응하는 결함 픽셀 객체를 선택하여 미리 설정된 가공 기준점에 대한 가공 옵셋을 산출하는 정보 처리 유닛과, 가공 옵셋에 따라 조사 위치가 조정된 레이저 빔을 결함 픽셀에 조사하는 레이저 가공 유닛을 포함하는 레이저 가공 장치가 제공된다. 이에 의하면, 액정 디스플레이 패널의 다양한 픽셀 형상 및 크기에 상관없이 균일한 품질로 레이저 가공을 수행하여 액정 디스플레이 패널의 결함을 수정할 수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A laser machining apparatus and a pixel defect correction method using the same are provided to correct the deformity of an LCD panel and enable the uniform quality of laser machining regardless of the shape and size of various pixels of an LCD panel. CONSTITUTION: A laser machining apparatus(100) comprises an image capturing unit(130), an information machining unit(120), and a laser machining unit(110). The image capturing unit takes a photograph of an LCD panel fixed on a stage. The information machining unit analyzes images recorded by the image capturing unit and produces pixel objects. The information machining unit selects a defective pixel object corresponding to defective pixels. The laser machining unit irradiates laser beam, of which the irradiation position is adjusted according to machining offset, on defective pixels.
