Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily check whether a flaw is present on an aluminum body under a display in examining a packaging aluminum foil with the printed display. SOLUTION: According to the packaging aluminum foil, the display, such as characters or patterns, is printed on the surface of the aluminum foil body, using a printing ink containing a white pigment. According to the white pigment, the average grain diameter of the white pigment is 0.3 μm or smaller, and a white pigment body is coated with a synthetic resin film and is made of a rutile-type titanium dioxide. Hence the display, which is printed using the printing ink containing the above white pigment, has a superior infrared permeability. By emitting infrared rays on the aluminum foil with the printed display, therefore, whether a flaw is present on the aluminum foil body under the display can be easily checked. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an inspection to check whether defect such as a flaw exists or not on a synthetic resin film main body under a display to be easily performed in a synthetic resin film for packaging on which the display is printed. SOLUTION: For this synthetic resin film for packaging, on the surface of the synthetic resin film main body, the display of characters or patterns is printed. The display is printed using a printing ink containing a white pigment. The average particle diameter of the white pigment is 0.3 μm or lower. Also, for the white pigment, the white pigment main body surface is covered with a synthetic resin film. The white pigment main body is a rutile type titanium dioxide. The display which is printed with the printing ink containing the white pigment is excellent in infrared permeability. Thus, by irradiating the synthetic resin film for packaging on which the display is printed with an infrared ray, whether defect such as a flaw exists on the synthetic resin film main body under the display or not can easily be inspected. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging aluminum foil, which makes it possible to easily check whether a flaw is present on an aluminum body under a display. SOLUTION: The packaging aluminum foil is applicable to an appearance inspection device, which comprises (1) a lighting means, which irradiates the aluminum foil with light containing infrared rays, (2) an image capturing means, which is sensitive to infrared rays and picks up an image of a surface irradiated by the lighting means, and (3) an image processor, which processes an image signal output from the image capturing means. The display, such as characters or patterns, is printed on the surface of the aluminum foil body, using a printing ink containing a pigment. According to the pigment, a pigment body is coated with a synthetic resin film. Hence the display, which is printed using the printing ink containing the pigment, has superior infrared permeability.
