    Abstract: A method for forming a hole of a transparent material is provided to easily form a hole and prevent the transparent material from being broken due to a laser by moving a focus of a laser from bottom to top of the transparent material. A method for forming a hole of a transparent material(110) includes the steps of: forming an outline(120) for a hole(140) by irradiating an edge of a portion to be a hole with moving a focus of a laser beam from a bottom to a top of the portion; and forming the hole by irradiating the laser beam inside the portion of the transparent material which has the outline for the hole with moving the focus of the laser beam downward. The strength of the laser beam during forming the outline for the hole is weak than the strength of the laser beam during forming the hole. The laser is an excimer laser.

    Abstract: A system and a method for processing an inner portion of a transparent body using a laser are provided to output a strong instantaneous output stably by using an Nd:YAG laser. A system(100) for processing an inner portion of a transparent body includes a gray converting unit(110), a sampling unit(120), a converting unit(130), and an image forming unit(140). The gray converting unit(110) converts an image file having more than one pixel information among color, brightness, and chroma into a gray image having brightness information corresponding to each pixel information. The sampling unit(120) converts the brightness information converted in the gray converting unit(110) into representative brightness information according to a predetermined classification standard. The converting unit(130) converts the representative brightness information into area information of a processing area. The image forming unit(140) irradiates the laser into the inner portion of the transparent body according to the area information of the processing area, and controls to form an image.
