PURPOSE: A method for analyzing Berkshire meat quality using serum free amino acid is provided to determine excellent Berkshire without analysis. CONSTITUTION: A method for Berksher meat quality using serum free amino acid comprises a step of analyzing pig meat quality using phenylalanine, valine, and leucine among free amino acid as a metabolic biomarker.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A gene marker for evaluating meat quality and Korean Berkshire genealogy and a diagnosis method are provided to be used as a marker for consisting Korean Berkshire. CONSTITUTION: A gene marker for evaluating meat quality is used for selecting an individual with excellent meat quality. A marker of Kit I among genes for evaluating pig meat quality is used as a common selection marker. A method for selecting excellent Berkshire comprises: a step of isolating DNA from pig blood or hair roots; a step of performing multiplex PCR using the marker having MQ KIT I and MQ KIT II; a step of analyzing genotype using a Genetic analyzer by One tube-One Injection; and a step of selecting excellent pig.

PURPOSE: An SNP marker related to pork meat quality and a method for selecting pigs with superior meat quality using the same are provided to acquire SNPs of a pig with superior meat quality and to early select and breed swine with high meat quality using the SNP, thereby developing competitiveness of domestic pork industry. CONSTITUTION: A primer for selecting pigs contains one base sequence among sequences of sequence numbers 38-74, containing 1st-18th bases. A method for selecting swine comprises the steps of: preparing gDNA from a pig sample; performing PCR of gDNA using the primer; scanning the PCR product by Illumina GoldenGat method using VeraCode Bead Plate; and confirming and classifying the genotypes of the scanned result using BeadStudio software (Illumina).
