Abstract: PURPOSE: A steamed green tea extract is provided to treat atopic dermatitis through a histamine test, and to develop a cosmetic product, a drug, and food for treating atopic dermatitis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for treating atopic dermatitis contains a hot water extract or an ethanol extract of steamed green tea, or a mixture thereof as active ingredient. The composition also contains the hot water extract, the ethanol extract, a hot water extract of non-streamed green tea, and an ethanol extract of non-steamed green tea in a weight ratio of 1:1:1:1. Green tea is steamed at 121 deg. C for 30-60 minutes(S120).
