    Abstract: An immunoglobulin isolated and purified from Sebastes schlegeli is provided to be used as a diagnosing kit including a monoclonal antibody against the immunoglobulin, thereby providing useful information for studying the humoral immunity of the Sebastes schlegeli against pathogens and developing a diagnostic marker and a vaccine. A method for preparing a monoclonal antibody against an immunoglobulin of Sebastes schlegeli comprises the steps of: (a) after immunizing the Sebastes schlegeli with an immunoglobulin of an animal, isolating serum of the Sebastes schlegeli; (b) purifying immunoglobulin from the serum using protein A, mannan binding protein(MBP), or immunoaffinity column; and (c) after collecting spleens from mouse immunized by the immunoglobulin, fusing them with myeloma cells, wherein the purified immunoglobulin consists of a heavy chain having a molecular weight of 70 kDa and a light chain having a molecular weight of 25 kDa. A kit for detecting immunoglobulin of Sebastes schlegeli comprises a solid support where a monoclonal antibody regarding the immunoglobulin of the Sebastes schlegeli is fixed by a covalent bond or a physical absorption, at least one solution including detectable color developing agent, a buffered washing solution and a sample required for quality management. To diagnose the humoral immunity of the Sebastes schlegeli, the detecting kit is used.
