    Abstract: PURPOSE: A DMD(Digital Micro-mirror Device) based sham image projection device for a linear sensor and a projecting method thereof are provided to extract an image suitable for the reception of the linear sensor and accurately align an image projected at each pixel of a TDI(Time Delay Integration) senor. CONSTITUTION: An image modulation circuit(201) modules an image signal to be suitable for projection on a linear sensor. The image signal is received by applying a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) using a digital torsion beam DMD.     Abstract: The present invention relates to a maritime target detecting apparatus for detecting a maritime target using an image input from an infrared (IR) sensor in a maritime operation environment, and the instant invention is characterized by estimating and removing the background from the image input from the IR sensor by horizontal and vertical-direction one-dimensional local averaging filters and calculating an added projection value for each background-removed image to detect a desired target. As such, according to the present invention, the background is estimated and removed from an input image using a local average value of pixels for each horizontal or vertical line, and horizontal and vertical integral projection transformation on the background-removed image, thus reducing influential factors that may be caused by the background component. Accordingly, a relatively large target with a few tens of pixels, such as fast asymmetric threats (e.g., patrol boat, speed boat, jet ski, etc.) may be effectively detected in the maritime operation environment.
