PURPOSE: A carrier wave gain controlling apparatus of a satellite communication system and method thereof are provided to efficiently compensate the amount of rain fall attenuation in uplink and downlink. CONSTITUTION: A satellite repeater(130) measures the first receiving level of a discrete carrier wave. The satellite repeater calculates the amount of rain fall attenuation based on the first receiving level. A satellite receiver(120) measures the second receiving level of the discrete carrier wave. The satellite receiver calculates the amount of rain fall attenuation.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A passive inter-modulation signal reducing type sub reflector for a multi-carrier transmitting antenna is provided to improve communication quality by reducing a passive inter-modulation signal due to scattered waves. CONSTITUTION: A main reflector is formed with a concave curved shape. A sub reflector(20) is formed with a curved shape faced with the main reflector. An outer surface(21) of the sub reflector is formed with a consecutive curved shape. The sub reflector is supported by a supporting part(30). The supporting part is arranged in the main reflector. The supporting part includes a waveguide(31) and a dielectric(32). The dielectric connects the waveguide to the sub reflector. An inner surface of the sub reflector is formed with a uniformly point-symmetrical structure in order to be coupled with an outer surface of an expanding part(32a,32b) of the dielectric.
