Abstract: PURPOSE: A single power stage power factor correction circuit is provided to implement a miniaturization of a circuit by having a simple structure in comparison with an existing 2-stage circuit. CONSTITUTION: A transformer is connected to two electrodes of a bridge diode. The transformer varies a voltage. An output voltage detecting unit (104) detects an output voltage of a DC-DC converter (102). A clamping unit clamps a peak of a voltage waveform. A boundary conduction mode (BCM) control unit (103) controls the DC-DC converter.
