    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing phytotoxins and a process for preparation thereof by using thaxtomin separated from Streptomyces scabies. CONSTITUTION: The monoclonal antibody recognizes phytotoxins specifically and contains thaxtomin A which is separated and purified from Streptomyces scabies S33 strain, wherein the thaxtomin A is represented by the formula(1). Its manufacturing method comprises the steps of: purifying phytotoxin, thaxtomin A, from the culture of Streptomyces scabies S33 strain; conjugating the phytotoxin with bovine serum albumin(BSA) and injecting it into a mouse to form an antibody; and selecting a monoclonal antibody from hybridoma cells by ELISA.
