    Abstract: PURPOSE: A tree grafting device and a tree grafting method using thereof are provided to preparing time of a rootstock by punching a cylindrical hole on the rootstock using a portable electric motor drill. CONSTITUTION: A tree grafting device comprises the following: a body including an insertion hole on one side for receiving one end of a scion(20); a cutting blade mounted on the upper side of the body for cutting the circumference of the scion when the scion is rotating; a scion receiving groove formed on a rootstock(10); and an adhesive(17) spread on each cut surface of the rootstock and the scion. The end of the scion is processed to be fit into the scion receiving groove.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A transgenic Petunia hybrid having resistance to non-biological stress is provided to resistance to non-biological stress such as dryness, low temperature, moisture, and heavy metal or air pollution. CONSTITUTION: A seed of Petunia hybrid(KACC 98002P and KACC 98003P) has resistance to non-biological stress by being inserted with gene of the sequence number 1. The gene is Escherichia coli-derived SOD(superoxide dismutase) gene. A method for producing seed of Petunia hybrid comprises: a step of introducing SOD gene to Pbi121 vector; a step of transforming the vector to Agrobacterium tumefaciens; a step of co-culturing the transformed Agrobacterium with leaves fraction of micropropagated shoot; and a step of confirming SOD gene through van der Meer method.
