PURPOSE: A thickening system is provided, which can thicken and further gel an oil-in-water type nanoemulsion form composition without giving an effect to the cosmetic characteristics of the composition. CONSTITUTION: Oil-in-water nanoemulsions comprises oil globules with an average size of less than 150nm comprising at least one oil, at least one amphiphilic lipid, and at least one polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative chosen from PEG esters and PEG ethers chosen from compounds of formula(1): R1-(O-CH2-CH2)n-OR2. In formula(1), R1 is chosen from linear and branched, saturated and unsaturated alkyl groups and acyl groups comprising 8 to 30 carbon atoms respectively, R2 is chosen from a hydrogen atom, linear and branched, saturated and unsaturated alkyl groups and acyl groups comprising 1 to 30 carbon atoms respectively, and n is a number ranging 80 to 350.

Detergent cosmetic compositions comprising a washing base and at least one amphoteric starch. This combination can give at least one cosmetic property such as, ease of styling, lightness and suppleness of treated hair, and can have good working properties such as good intrinsic washing power and good foaming power. These compositions can be used for washing and/or conditioning a keratin material, such as the hair or the skin.
