Abstract: PURPOSE: A sport beverage composition containing a salicornia herbacia extract is provided to improve the exercise ability and the endurance capacity of a drinker without causing a side effect. CONSTITUTION: A sport beverage composition contains a salicornia herbacia extract as an active ingredient. The salicornia herbacia extract is obtained by a method selected from the group consisting of a hydrothermal extraction method, a solvent extraction method, a sonicate-extraction method, and a water-immersion extraction method. The salicornia herbacia extract is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:15~1:60, after being extracted.
