    Abstract: The present invention relates to novel uses of prevention or treatment of diabetic complications of fucoxanthin, specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating (improving) diabetic complications which includes fucoxanthin derived from sea brown algae such as Eiseniabicyclis, Undariapinnatifida or Hijikiafusiformis as active ingredients, to health supplement, and to insulin sensitive enhancer.
