Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display with built-in touch panel and fabricating method thereof are provided to improve durability and touch sensitivity and reduce the thickness by utilizing an upper substrate of a liquid crystal display device as a touch panel. CONSTITUTION: A lower substrate(100) has a pixel electrode(110) on upper surface. An upper substrate(220) has a sensing pattern(220), a color filter(270), and a common electrode(290) successively on a low surface facing the lower substrate. A liquid crystal layer(300) is interposed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate. The upper substrate includes an inactivation area of the edge of the activation area and the activation area in which the touch input is provided as an image is displayed.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A touch screen panel and video display apparatus including the same are provided to simplify the formation process of an insulation layer by forming insulating film in the formation process of a boundary pattern layer. CONSTITUTION: A transparent board includes a touch activation area and a touch inactivation area. Sensing patterns includes first sensing cells(30a) in which are connected by first connection patterns(30a1) and second sensing cells(30b) in which are connected by second connection patterns(30b1). A boundary pattern layer(20) is formed on the surface of the sensing pattern in the touch inactivation area. An insulation layer(35) is formed by the same material as the boundary pattern layer and is allowed between the first connection pattern and the second connection pattern.
