본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른 전자 장치는 전파를 송수신하기 위한 복수의 안테나들과, 물리적인 양 또는 물리적인 변화를 감지하기 위한 적어도 하나의 센서와, 상기 적어도 하나의 센서로부터의 출력에 반응하여 제어 신호를 출력하기 위한 센서 허브 및 상기 제어 신호에 반응하여 상기 복수의 안테나들을 이용하는 무선 통신을 제어하기 위한 통신 모듈을 포함할 수 있다. 다양한 다른 실시예들이 가능하다.

본 발명은 이동통신 단말기에서의 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 겸용 안테나 장치에 있어서, 상기 이동통신 단말기의 본체 내부로부터 외부로 인출된 상태에서, 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 대역과 이동통신 대역의 신호를 모두 수신하고, 상기 이동통신 단말기 본체 내부로 삽입된 상태에서 이동통신 대역의 신호를 수신하는 하나의 휩 안테나와, 상기 휩 안테나가 인출된 상태 및 삽입된 상태에서, 상기 휩 안테나와 간접적으로 커플링되어 상기 휩 안테나로부터 이동통신 신호를 수신하는 제1접촉면과, 상기 이동통신 단말기 본체 내부에서 제1접촉면의 하부에 설치되며 휩 안테나가 인출될 때에 휩 안테나의 하단에서 휩 안테나와 직접 접촉하여 디지털 멀티미디어 방송 대역의 신호를 수신하는 제2접촉면을 구비한다. An antenna device for a portable terminal, which allows a whip antenna and helical antenna of a terminal to be retracted and withdrawn along an extension from the terminal, while not causing them to protrude out of the terminal. The antenna device provided with a whip antenna and helical antenna further includes an antenna housing disposed at a desired position in the main body, which permits the whip antenna to be retracted and withdrawn through the helical antenna, while causing the helical antenna to be withdrawn along an extension from the main body at the same time, and permits the helical antenna to be retracted, so that it can be inserted into the main body; and a housing coupling portion disposed in the main body for supporting the antenna housing.

A portable terminal having a variable grounding device is provided to realize an optimal correspondent grounding area according to a mode change and an opening/closing state of the terminal, thereby reducing an SAR(Specific Absorption Rate) as contributing to improvement of radiation performance of an antenna device. A main board(10) has a grounding unit of certain size. At least one antenna radiator is fed to the main board. At least one of grounding bodies(117,116) is installed or formed within a terminal(100) in order to be separated from the grounding unit. Switching devices are individually interposed between the grounding unit and some of or the entire grounding bodies, and promote selective electric connection by predetermined electric connecting units. A controller controls the switching devices to selectively and electrically connect the grounding unit with the grounding bodies according to a state of the terminal.

PURPOSE: A method for reducing current consumption in a cellular phone is provided to reduce current consumption, by preventing an unnecessary current from incoming to a wireless receiver of the cellular phone and by extending a reception stand-by time. CONSTITUTION: A cellular phone has a first switch and a second switch. The first switch applies power to a wireless receiver. The second switch applies power to a lamp of a displayer. A method for reducing current consumption in the cellular phone comprises the steps of: if a flip-open signal is received from a flip sensor in a sleep mode, operating a timer for driving the lamp, and turning on the second switch to drive the lamp; if a number key or a character key is inputted from a key input circuit, displaying a corresponding number and a character on the displayer, and resetting the timer; and if a speech key is inputted from the key input circuit, turning on the first switch, and applying the power to the wireless receiver to perform an operation according to the speech key.

PURPOSE: A local oscillating frequency adjusting voltage control method is provided to regularly keep the initial synchronous gain time in the frequency automatic regulation circuit of a digital mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: The control method has the steps of: measuring the surrounding temperature of the terminal through a temperature sensor if power is fed on the terminal; feeding the local oscillating frequency adjusting voltage corresponding to the surrounding temperature with a temperature compensating voltage control oscillator to compensate the frequency error of the temperature compensating voltage control oscillator based on the surrounding temperature if the measured temperature is out of the previously set up standard temperature.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for lowering the SAR(Specific Absorption Rate) of a mobile phone is provided to achieve the miniaturization and thinning of a mobile terminal and to effectively lower the SAR. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for lowering the SAR of a mobile phone is installed on an opening/shutting axis, opened and closed on a main body. At the opening/shutting axis, a hinge module(10) for opening a sub body on the main body at regular angles is installed. The hinge module(10) has a hinge housing and a hinge shaft(11). The hinge shaft(11) is partially protruded from the hinge housing. The hinge shaft(11), protruded from the hinge housing, is fixed to a hinge dummy(20). The hinge dummy(20) has a protrusion piece(21). An RF board(30) having a ground terminal(31) is provided on the main body. A plate spring(40) is provided to connect the protrusion piece(21) of the hinge dummy(20) with the ground terminal(31) of the RF board(30) electrically. One end of the plate spring(40) is contacted with the protrusion piece(21), and the other end is contacted with the ground terminal(31).
