Abstract: An LCD apparatus and a gate driver used therein are provided to equalize charge amount of positive and negative data signals by applying a higher gate-off voltage in charging a positive data signal than a negative data signal. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) apparatus includes a display panel(340), a data driver(320), and a gate driver(330). The display panel includes plural image regions which are defined by plural gate and data lines. The data driver supplies data signals to the data lines. The gate driver applies a first gate signal which has a relatively higher first gate-off voltage, to the gate lines corresponding to a positive data signal, and applies a second gate signal which has a relatively lower second gate-off voltage, to the gate lines corresponding to a negative data signal.

The liquid crystal display panel is connected with a first connector formed on the source printed circuit board. The front case covers whole region except an effective screen region of the liquid crystal display panel.

The top chassis is formed longer than the distance between both sidewalls of the mold frame, and a gap of a predetermined size is formed between the inner and outer wall of the mold frame.

The first and second phases have a phase difference of 180°, thereby making a voltage level '0' as if the first and second electrodes are grounded.
