Abstract: PURPOSE: A regenerable filtering unit, a filtering device including the same, and a method for driving the filtering device are provided to overcome environmental pollution problems due to the scrapping of filters. CONSTITUTION: A regenerable filtering unit includes an electrode structure(10), a water purifying path(20), and a pH adjusting chamber. A cathode(12), a anion exchanging membrane(14), a cation exchanging membrane(16), and an anode(18) are successively arranged in the electrode structure. The water purifying path is formed at the cathode, between the cathode and the anion exchanging membrane, between the anode and the cation exchanging membrane, or at the anode. The water purifying path includes an absorbing function. The pH adjusting chamber is arranged between the cation exchanging membrane and anion exchanging membrane and adjusts the pH of the water purifying path. Abstract: PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a metal suboxide is provided to synthesize the metal suboxide which has large specific surface area by forming a polymer on the surface of a metal suboxide precursor with reacting an aromatic compound which is substituted to a hydroxy radical and a connection precursor. CONSTITUTION: A metal suboxide has more than 1.5m^2/g of a specific surface area. The metal suboxide includes less than 1 weight% of carbon base on the total weight of the metal suboxide. The metal comprises a transition metal, a post-transition metal, and one selected from a combination thereof. The metal suboxide comprises pore. The manufacturing method of the metal suboxide comprises the following steps. A mixture which includes a metal suboxide precursor (1), aromatic compound which is substituted to a hydroxy radical (3), and a connection precursor is manufactured. The polymer (13') is formed on the surface of the metal suboxide precursor by reacting the aromatic compound which is substituted to a hydroxy radical and the connection precursor. The polymer is heat treated. A carbon is removed from the polymer. In the step of manufacturing the mixture which includes a metal suboxide precursor, aromatic compound which is substituted to a hydroxy radical, and a connection precursor; the connection precursor comprises one selected from C1 to C30 aldehyde, C3 to C30 ketone, and combination thereof.
