PURPOSE: A digital camera and a controlling method thereof are provided to perform a white balance control regardless of a color shading effect. CONSTITUTION: A digital camera comprises a color shading area detector(153) for finding a color shading area in the overall screen area, a white balance gain calculation unit(155) for calculating the white balance gain from a valid screen area excluding the detected color shading area, and a block dividing unit(151) for dividing the overall screen area into a plurality of image blocks.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A digital image processing apparatus for performing after-amendment automatic white balance and an operating method thereof are provided to readjust white balance of the entire image using color information about a selected area, thereby performing after-amendment about a photographed image. CONSTITUTION: An area divider(39-1) divides a reproduction image to areas of a fixed number. An after-amendment AWB(Automatic White Balance) controller(39-2) calculates a white balance control coefficient from color information of a selected reproduction area. The after-amendment AWB controller applies the calculated white balance control coefficient to the entire reproduction images.

PURPOSE: A photographing method and a photographing apparatus for efficiently taking a photograph of individual having a special relationship are provided to automatically take a photograph of individuals by previously registering information about a subject. CONSTITUTION: An image pickup device converts an image of a subject into the electric signal. A face recognition unit(48) recognizes the face by the image pickup apparatus. A photographing determining unit(45) generates the photographing signal based on a relation of individuals by the face recognition unit. A photographing control unit(47) controls the image pickup device by receiving the photographing signal.

PURPOSE: A method and a device for processing an image, and a digital photographing device using the same are provided to prevent a face which is in far distance and faces which is out of focus to be dimmed. CONSTITUTION: A predetermined face area is detected in an input image(504). The distance to the detected face area is calculated(506). If a half shutter and a photographing shutter is pressed by a user, an AF is performed respectively about the plurality of detected faces(508).
