Abstract: An apparatus for driving an LCD device and an LCD device including the same are provided to discharge rapidly voltages stored in the LCD device by implementing switching elements in a driving voltage generator. An apparatus for driving an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a driving voltage generator(700) for generating driving voltages based on an input voltage and a gate driver for applying a part of the driving voltages to gate lines. The driving voltage generator includes boost circuits(701,702) and switching elements(T1,T2). The boost circuits generate the driving voltages based on the input voltage. The switching elements, which are connected between respective boost circuits and a ground, are driven by the states of the input voltages.

Abstract: A display apparatus is provided to reduce the distortion of images by dividing gray scale voltages of respective colors based on gray scale reference voltages having the same bit numbers.
