    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device is provided to suppress generation of bridge between adjacent contacts by extending the upper part of the contact electrically connected to a capacitor and a source/drain of a transistor. A recess is formed by etching a part of an upper surface of an insulating film included in a substrate(100). A hole which passes through the insulating layer is formed to be overlapped with one end of the recess. A conductive pattern reclaiming the recess and the hole is formed. After the recess is formed, the nitride film is formed along the surface profile of the insulating layer in which the recess is formed. The capacitor(154) is formed on the conductive pattern.
