PURPOSE: A power supply device for preventing latch-up of a charge pump and a method thereof are provided to adjust an inrush current for preventing latch-up by controlling a pulse width to reflect the result of comparing an input signal and a selection reference voltage. CONSTITUTION: An internal power supply(100) includes a primary voltage generator(150) and a pulse generator(500). The primary voltage generator generates a primary voltage and a feedback signal. The pulse generator generates a pulse from the feedback signal to operate a switch. A charge pump(200) generates a secondary voltage by using the primary voltage. An inrush current controller(300) is connected between the charge pump and the internal power supply. The inrush current controller controls pulse width modulation using a pulse width modulation control signal.
