Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for driving a liquid crystal panel, a source driver and a liquid crystal display system for using the method are provided to implement high power and high quality display device by preventing a wanted image from being displayed on the screen. CONSTITUTION: In a method for driving a liquid crystal panel, a source driver and a liquid crystal display system for using the method, a source driver(500) drives a source line of a liquid crystal panel. The source driver comprises a plurality of output buffers, a plurality of output pads(Pad_1~Pad_p), and a switching unit. A switching unit is interposed between the plural output buffers and the plural output pads. The switching unit controls the electrical connection state of the plural output pads The switching unit intercepts the output signals of the output buffers to the liquid crystal panel. The switching unit connects the plural output pads and provides a discharge path to a ground from the output pad.

PURPOSE: A delay locked loop and a driving method thereof are provided to detect the frequency of a clock signal by detecting the pulse width of a clock signal. CONSTITUTION: A pulse width detecting circuit(130) receives a reference clock signal. The pulse width detecting circuit outputs the detection result as the pulse width detection resultant signal by detecting the pulse width of the reference clock signal. A delay circuit(120) receives the reference clock signal. The delay circuit outputs an output clock signal by delaying the reference clock signal. The delay circuit receives the pulse width detection resultant signal from the pulse width detecting circuit. The delay time of the reference clock signal is controlled in response to the pulse width detection resultant signal.

PURPOSE: A power supply device for preventing latch-up of a charge pump and a method thereof are provided to adjust an inrush current for preventing latch-up by controlling a pulse width to reflect the result of comparing an input signal and a selection reference voltage. CONSTITUTION: An internal power supply(100) includes a primary voltage generator(150) and a pulse generator(500). The primary voltage generator generates a primary voltage and a feedback signal. The pulse generator generates a pulse from the feedback signal to operate a switch. A charge pump(200) generates a secondary voltage by using the primary voltage. An inrush current controller(300) is connected between the charge pump and the internal power supply. The inrush current controller controls pulse width modulation using a pulse width modulation control signal.

PURPOSE: A power off discharge circuit and a source driver circuit having the same are provided to prevent a strip from being formed on a display panel by rapidly discharging a load circuit in a display panel. CONSTITUTION: A power voltage sensor senses the interception of a first power voltage. A first power voltage drives a source driver circuit. The power voltage sensor generates a discharge control signal. A discharge unit discharges a load circuit(382). The load circuit is included within the display panel.

파워오프디스차지회로는소스드라이버회로를구동하는제 1 전원전압의차단여부를감지하여디스차지제어신호를생성하는전원전압감지부및 디스차지제어신호에응답하여디스플레이패널내의로드회로를디스차지시키는디스차지부를포함한다. 따라서, 파워오프디스차지회로는소스드라이버회로를구동하는전원전압이차단되는경우디스플레이패널내의로드회로를디스차지시킴으로써디스플레이디바이스가파워오프상태에진입할때 디스플레이패널상에나타날수 있는세로줄잔상을방지할수 있다.
