Abstract: A liquid crystal display device and an apparatus for driving the same are provided to easily display desired image data on an LCD panel without a separate driving device by allowing a timing controller to store the image data on an external memory using a BIST(Built-In Self Test) mode. A driving apparatus for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a memory, a memory controller(122), a TTL(Transistor-Transistor Logic) signal receiver(124), a PLL(126), and an RSDS(Reduced Swing Differential Signaling) converter(128). The memory stores image data. The memory controller controls writing/reading operations of the memory. The TTL signal receiver receives image data from the memory controller. The PLL(Phase Locked Loop) provides a reference clock signal which is used for synchronizing the image data from the memory. The RSDS converter converts the image data from the TTL signal receiver to an RSDS signal.

이러한 방식으로, 데이터 구동 집적 회로에 내장된 연산 증폭기를 계조 전압 생성부에 사용하여 원가를 절감하는 한편, 오버슈트 전압을 변경시키지 않아도 되므로 계조 전압 보정에 드는 시간을 절약할 수 있다.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display is provided to form a gap between a lead of a connector and a ground pattern to prevent disconnection of the lead and the ground pattern, thereby minimizing a defect rate in mounting the connector at a printed circuit board. A liquid crystal panel displays image information. A printed circuit board is connected with the liquid crystal panel to provide a driving signal of the liquid crystal panel.
