Abstract: A driving apparatus and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device including the same are provided to control on and off of a timing controller by comparing gate clock signals supplied to gate drivers with each other. A driving apparatus includes a voltage generator(700) and a signal comparator(900). The voltage generator generates first and second gate clock signals(CKV1,CKV2), which are formed by the combination of gate-on and gate-off voltages, in order to control on and off of a gate line. The signal comparator compares the first and second gate clock signals from the voltage generator, and turns on/off a timing controller(600) according to the comparison result. The signal comparator determines whether the difference between the first and second gate clock signals corresponds to the difference between first and second reference voltages.
