Abstract: A polarizer and a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to improve quality of an image in front and lateral directions at a low cost by including a support film with a shift compensation function. A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel(100), a first polarizer(210), and a second polarizer(220). Abstract: An adhesive, a polarizer assembly and a display device having the same are provided to prevent corner smudge, and regularize brightness. A polarizer assembly comprises a polarizer and a compensation film. An adhesion layer adheres the polarizer assembly to the LCD panel. The adhesion layer has the peel force of 16~28N / 25mm. The adhesion layer comprises the PSA(Pressure Sensitive Adhesive), acrylic polymer and a cross-linking agent. The preferable mass rate of the cross-linking agent and acrylic polymer is 90 : 10 through 75 : 25. The storage modulus of the adhesion layer is 2.5 through 1.5. The thickness of the dried adhesion layer can be 20um through 10.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for removing a polarizing plate are provided to vary the exfoliation angle of the polarizing plate from an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel by regulating the rotation rate and the horizontal moving speed of an exfoliating roller, thereby preventing the LCD panel from being lifted when exfoliating the polarizing plate. An initial exfoliating step is performed by rotating and horizontally moving an exfoliating roller so that a polarizing plate(12) is exfoliated from an LCD panel at a predetermined exfoliation angle. An intermediate exfoliating step is performed by regulating the rotation rate(U2) and the horizontal moving speed(V2) of the exfoliating roller so that the polarizing plate is exfoliated from the LCD panel while the exfoliation angle is reduced. A final exfoliating step is performed by keeping the final exfoliation angle at the intermediate exfoliating step. The rotating direction of the exfoliating roller is the same as the moving direction of the exfoliating roller. An upper surface of the exfoliated polarizer is contacted with a rear surface of an outer circumference of the exfoliating roller, based on the moving direction of the exfoliating roller.
