Abstract: A printer and a printer diagnosis system are provided to diagnose a state of the printer through the network in case that main power supplied to the printer is cut off or abnormality is occurred in other main interface parts. The printer(20) includes the first and second interfaces(21a,21b) communicating with the network. If diagnosis information is not received from the printer after the diagnosis information is requested through the first interface of the printer, a remote diagnosis host(10) requests the diagnosis information through the second interface of the printer. The first storing part(22a) stores a state of the printer. The second state storing part(22b) periodically backs up the data stored in the first state storing part. If the diagnosis information is requested through the first interface, the data stored in the first state storing part is transmitted to the remote diagnosis host. If that the diagnosis information is requested through the second interface, the data stored in the second state storing part is transmitted to the remote diagnosis host.
