Abstract: 본 발명은 풀업(pull-up) 저항 및 풀다운(pull-down) 저항을 구비한 패드에 있어서 상기 풀업 저항 및 풀다운 저항으로 인한 누설 전류를 방지하기 위한 것으로 본 발명에 따른 누설 전류 방지 패드는 출력제어신호(ENB)를 이용하여 상기 패드의 동작모드에 따라 패드 출력신호를 제어하는 3상태 버퍼(tri-state buffer)를 포함하는 출력신호 제어부와 CMOS로 구현된 상기 풀업 저항 및 풀다운 저항을 포함하는 풀업다운(pull-up/down) 저항부와 상기 출력제어신호(ENB)를 이용하여 상기 풀업/다운 저항을 제어하는 풀업/다운 저항 제어부를 포함하여 구성된다. 본 발명은 별도의 소프트웨어의 제어없이 자동으로 패드에서 풀업/다운(pull-up/down) 저항을 차단시키거나 연결해 줌으로써 반도체 칩의 소비전류를 감소시키는 효과를 갖는다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for controlling power in a system which uses an embedded CPU and a method thereof are provided to implement an efficient low power system by reducing power consumption through the control of power gradually in consideration of the load amount of the CPU. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(Central Processing Unit)(100) controls a load amount checker(130) through a CPU bus(120). The load amount checker receives the input of a fixed clock(140). The load amount checker checks a load amount at each fixed clock cycle. When the change of power is checked, the load amount checker transmits an interrupt(170) to an interrupt controller(150). The CPU changes clock or voltage in a power changing time through the interrupt.

Abstract: An adaptive leakage-preventing buffer is provided to reduce power consumption due to a leakage current and to improve product development speed, by setting an embedded pullup/pulldown automatically according to an external circuit connection state. According to an adaptive leakage-preventing buffer comprising pullup and pulldown, a pad receives a signal from the outside. A control port selects the pullup or the pulldown.
