Abstract: PURPOSE: A wafer holder of a plating apparatus is to provide a silicon tube to a portion of an electrode pin when the wafer holder is disposed at a carrier bar, thereby preventing the electrode pin from being plated along with an objective body. CONSTITUTION: A wafer holder of a plating apparatus comprises a center plate having amounting portion for placing a wafer at both sides thereof, an electrode plate coupled to an upper portion of the center plate, a clamping plate coupled to a lower portion of the center plate by a hinge, and an electrode pin(18) mounted on the electrode plate so as to connect the electrode plate and the wafer loaded in the wafer holder. A plating hole for exposing the wafer is formed at a center portion of the clamping plate. The electrode pin has a contact(32) at an end thereof, which is contacted with the wafer loaded in the wafer holder. A silicon tube(34) is attached to a portion of the electrode pin so as to protect the electrode pin from an external contacting.
