The re-coding device mixes a video information with a sub-picture information from DVD, re-codes the mixed information according to a compressed coding system of a predetermined video information, and provides a second stream. The stream selector selects a first stream or a second stream according to a bandwidth of a transmission channel and information processing capacity of the device. The stream selector transmits the selected one to another device. Thereby, DVD information transmission device transmits DVD information without regard to a function and construction of a device receiving a transmitted data.
