Abstract: A system, an apparatus and a method for providing a digital broadcast using PIP(Picture In Picture) are provided to create a profitable model for a digital broadcast service provider by charging an advertiser based on data recorded in a billing server. A wireless communication unit(160) transmits a request message and receives an EMM(Entitled Management Message) corresponding to the request message. A controller(190) controls to decipher the EMM to reproduce a paid broadcast and simultaneously reproduce an advertisement broadcast in a PIP screen. The controller simultaneously reproduces the paid broadcast by way of return of the advertisement broadcast. The request message includes a channel identifier, an advertisement identifier and a CAS(Conditional Access System) smart key based on broadcast supplementary information.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for driving a reserved function in a mobile terminal are provided to adjust the operation time of a reservation function by using received broadcast information. Abstract: A method for regenerating a digital broadcast in a portable terminal is provided to offer an independent supplemental data service to a specific portable terminal by enabling a user to transmit a supplemental data request message including specific address information and to receive supplemental data through the specific address information. In regenerating a digital broadcast in a portable terminal, a control part confirms whether supplemental data exist in the digital broadcast.
